"Women of Titus Two" had an amazing new season with a wonderful group of women joining together for a common purpose!
What is a Titus Two group you may ask?
This is first and foremost a support group for women of all ages, to strengthen their resolve as Proverbs 31 women and to help facilitate wives, mothers and grandmothers in fulfill their Titus 2:5 calling. This group was also designed for daughters who choose to become "Keepers At Home" by creating a supportive environment with sound training, while encouraging strong biblical character in their noble calling . This is not an expositional bible study, for that is not our groups calling. Though the Titus 2:5 mandate is very challenging, God made His word simple and very clear on the matter. There is no need to debate or try to plead what is clearly written. Yet sound scripture and biblical principles are within every class. Let's read Proverbs 31 together:
for all her household are clothed with scarlet. She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple. Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land. She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant. Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
"The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands,
to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed".
This scriptural mandate for women is clear. When wives and daughters understand their important roles, they will find the true peace and fulfillment they have always wanted, as they yield to Christs directives. When we cooperate in relationship to our chosen position within the family, this brings real joy to our lives, happiness to our families and the greatest glory to God.
This does not mean it is always easy, or that our personal agenda will be perfectly met or that we will be surrounded by constant intellectual stimulation yet we will have more opportunity and flexibility in this realm for a meaningful life than in any other. We also have more freedom as we are no longer under the bondage of a task master by slaving for another woman's husband or father's vision. We are serving our own husband or father which is a great honor to be able to serve them. There are many women here including myself, that assist either their husband or father in business or in ministry. Some of us even have our own homebased cottage industries-that are under their spouse or father's covering. It is truly a protective blessing and it sure teaches us a lot. This is the way God intended.
Being a Titus 2:5, Proverbs 31 woman is truly the best life for us. This is God's promise and we must trust Him. Ladies, anything worth while will cost yet we will find our life when we lay it down for Christ's sake. God's authority is loving even when we do not comprehend it. He has only our best interest in mind. As we reverance the Lord in cooperating with His scriptural mandate, we will keep from "Blapheming" Him.
Are we perfect women who never struggle in honoring or loving our authorities (this includes never hesitating in trusting the Lord)? Are we always perfect in loving or training children? What about our homes? Are we supersonic, beyond brilliant homemakers? We all know that none of us are perfect or can claim we have "arrived". We may find ourselves excelling in one area only to find the need for growth in another. We are all learning and need to be gracious with each other especially since we are coming from different levels of maturity which is God's plan to help us conform to the image of Christ.
On the other hand, we must take serious the scriptural warning that we could blaspheme the Lord if we ignore trusting Him, believing and obeying His word as Titus Two Women. We must fear God more than man. We must also keep from fearing that we are imposing our views on others. As Christian women we are not imposing "our views". We are only pointing other women to God's highest plan and His mandate for them. Why would we be afraid to share the good news which will lead our dear sisters in Christ to emotional, physical or spiritual freedom as promised by the Lord? This is the road that leads... to the inner peace they so deparately seek, bringing clarity of mind by clearing the confusion to the many heavy laden questions of where their purpose and fulfillment really lies.
Obeying God's plan is their salvation from the bondage of slavery to an unfulfilling, meaningless life of great regret.
"Many daughters have done nobly, But you excell them all".
Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.
Give her the product of her hands, And let her works praise her in the gates.

Thank you for your blog, I'm learning so much from you and your posts and hearing about other women who are teaching Titus 2 classes.
I'm also holding a Titus 2 class once a month, with mothers and their girls are a bit younger 3-10 yrs. We sat to tea while we discussed our character building lesson of modesty (meaning not extreme) and why we should be modest.
We practiced sitting like a lady and discussed how we could be modest in our dress, our actions, and our speech.
The homemaking skill was learning to thread a sewing needle, tie a knot in the thread and then the girls learned a straight stitch hand sewing in which they made a drawstring bag to keep their small travel irons in.
The girls will be practicing their stitches at home and assembling a sewing kit from a supply list I gave them. We also discussed safety handling scissors, needles and pins.
I look forward to hearing from you and other bloggers as they share their experiences.
